Alexxus Entertainment was begun in 1994 by Michael J. Lenstra. Mike graduated from Dubuque Hempstead High school and attended Loras and Clarke College.After spending several years as part of the local theater scene he ventured into the mobile DJ business in 1991. In 1994 he began Alexxus Entertainment and by 1999 it had grown into a multi-op company. In 2008 it became his full time business.

Mike and members of his staff have attended several different trade shows and professional development seminars over the years including the Mid America DJ Show in Louisville, KY; the Disc Jockey News Conclave in Minneapolis, MN; Peter Merry's American Disc Jockey Association Seminar in Wisconsin Dells and the National Association of  Mobile Entertainers and Mobile Beat Magazines Summer Tour in Chicago, IL.

Alexxus Entertainment is a member of the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce and the Wedding Profesionals Networking Group. Alexxus subscribes to Mobile Beat Magazine and the Disc Jockey News. Mike has contributed to articles in the DJ Times, the Telegraph Herald, and has authored articles that have been published in Mobile Beat Magazine and Juliens Journal. He recently has been named a monthly columnist for the Disc Jockey News, a national monthly publication for the disc jockey industry.

Personally Mike is married and has three children. He is a past Vice President of the Dubuque Evening Optimist Club and is a former PTO President and school newsletter editor for Eleanor Roosevelt Middle School.
